Julius Baer marks 130th anniversary

Julius Baer (ME) Ltd. today announced its collaboration with the Emirates Environment Group (EEG) under the initiative “For Our Emirates, We Plant” to commemorate the Swiss wealth manager’s 130 year anniversary globally. The Bank’s enduring legacy in the private banking sector is the result of its foresighted approach and ability to adapt quickly and responsibly to an evolving environment, all while making investments in the future.

This collaboration with Emirates Environment Group (EEG) sees Julius Baer sponsor the planting of 130 indigenous trees namely Ghaf, Neem, Samar, and Sidra in Al Qudra area, in line with its commitment to philanthropy and sustainability. The planting drive will support the increase of the sustainable green patch across the UAE, help the country meet its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), improve its microclimate, and provide a natural habitat for the wildlife to thrive.
The planting ceremony was attended by Régis Burger, Head Middle East & Africa at Julius Baer, Alireza Valizadeh, CEO of Julius Baer (Middle East) Ltd., along with a few volunteers from the Dubai office. Ms Habiba Al Marashi, Chairperson of the Emirates Environment Group (EEG) was also present at the event.
